Sinéad Fox is a contemporary British abstract artist. Her work is a playful exploration of colour, shape and texture with a particular fondness for found papers.  She explores the power of the humble daydream and our internal archive of happy memories. Her collections of work aim to capture the emotions of revisiting a moment in time, even fleetingly. Her pieces celebrate the simple and universal beauty of happiness. A discarded, happened upon, piece of paper makes her heart sing and can inspire a whole body of work.  Much of her work is inspired by collections- the stones collected by her daughters on beaches, fragments of paper with little quirks, or simply groups of beautiful colours and shapes. She uses different mediums and materials like found and painted papers, acrylic, oil stick, recycled cotton rags.

​Born in Cambridge, Sinead studied at UCA, Farnham and at Camberwell School Of Art (UAL). Her love of bold graphic shapes reflects her time studying graphic design at Camberwell and her first creative inspiration came as a child, reading Dick Bruna and Jan Pienkowski books, surrounded by flowers in her childhood garden. Sinéad works from the idyllic surroundings of her studio at Pierrepont Farm's Old Dairy and lives across the border in Hampshire with her husband and three young daughters, whose drawings are a constant inspiration. Recent exhibitions and awards includes: Visual Artists Association Professional Artist Award 2023 Longlisted,  Surrey Artist of the Year 2023 Shortlisted New Ashgate Gallery, Whispers of Warmth AKA Contemporary Cambridge December – January 2023, RA Summer Exhibition 2024.
